Eternal Darkness - Twilight in the wilderness (1992)

Death Doom di qualità dal forte riferimento albionico. Metal pesante con leggere influenze gotiche. Una band che meritava più riconoscimento. Album registrato ma mai pubblicato, di difficile reperibilità.

Comecon - Megatrends in brutality (1992)

Vicenda particolare quella degli svedesi Comecon, pubblicare tre album (e soli) con tre cantanti diversi quali Lars Goran Petrov, Martin Van Drunen e Marc Grewe ma senza raggiungere una posizione di rilievo nella storia del genere. 'Megatrends in brutality' è l'album più soddisfacente della carriera del combo, Death Metal diretto influenzato dai ritmi dal Thrash e dai suoni dal Crust. Buona la produzione ai Sunlight Studios. La raccolta del 2008 'The worms of god' raccoglie in un doppio cd i tre dischi rilasciati dalla band.

Turbo - One way (1992)

I polacchi Turbo sono tra le prime band, o forse la prima, a suonare metal in Polonia, anno di formazione 1980. Per i primi dieci anni hanno suonato hard'n'heavy per poi tra l'89 e il '92 mutarsi in una thrash metal band. Si nota subito che l'album è influenzato dai Sepultura di 'Beneath the remains' ma non lo vedo come una scopiazzatura, i Turbo sanno giostrarsi tramite  brani ben suonati e dai ritmi fluidi, buona la registrazione. Il confronto con il capolavoro dei carioca è inarrivabile ma 'One way' è un disco consigliatissimo.

Fear Factory - Soul of a new machine (1992)

Esordio memorabile per una band geniale che ha dato tanto all'evoluzione del metal estremo. 'Soul of a new machine' è un pregevole mix di Death metal pesante e suoni industriali, ne incrementa l'importanza la tecnica chirurgica e l'ottimo lavoro del noto produttore Colin Richardson. Album assolutamente da avere.

Hypocrisy - Penetralia (1992)

E' nei primi cinque anni di attività che la band di Peter Tagtgren pubblica i lavori più estremi. Il debut 'Penetralia'' è una perla di Death Metal album da avere, lo stile ricorda quello degli inglesi Benediction, la velocità non è alta ma i dieci brani che lo compongono sono compatti e ben suonati (To scape is to die). Da 'Abducted' dell '96 lo stile degli Hypocrisy cambierà in favore del Melodic Death e soluzioni progressive. Peter Tagtgren è anche un riconosciuto produttore del settore, molti album sono stati registrati nei suoi Abyss Studio. Seguono due liste di produzioni.
